Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Freelance Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a residential development project based in the Arundel area. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role within a well-structured site team on a substantial multi-phase scheme.

The Role:

• 6-month freelance contract with an immediate start available
• Working 4 days per week on site and 1 day from home
• Acting as the lead QS on site for this project
• Supported by a part-time Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) and a visiting Commercial Manager
• Involvement across 2 phases of a residential scheme, totalling approximately 350 units

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing commercial aspects of the project on site
• Cost control, valuations, and reporting
• Liaising with site teams and senior commercial staff
• Supporting delivery across both phases of the development

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on traditional build residential projects
• Background working with recognisable housebuilders or developers
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating with a small team
• Strong commercial and communication skills
