Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor – Maths and English

Location: Centre based

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths OR English up to Level 2.

• Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.

• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners
• Strong admin skills (ILPs, progress tracking and monitoring) 

Duties:

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
