Games Design and IT Lecturer – Temporary – 20 Hours per Week – Ware & Broxbourne  

£30.83 to £33.02 per hour 

We are recruiting a Games Design and IT Lecturer to work at Hertford Regional College (HRC), delivering Level 2 and Level 3 Games Design and IT programmes. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic lecturer or industry professional to inspire students, develop their technical and creative skills, and help provide an outstanding learner experience at HRC's facilities in Ware and Broxbourne.

About the Role 

We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Games Design and IT Lecturer who can confidently teach students across Level 2 and Level 3 Games Design and IT courses. 

The successful candidate will be able to engage learners with a range of abilities and experience, combining practical and theoretical teaching to help students develop the skills and knowledge required to progress within further education, higher education or employment. 

The role is offered on a temporary, ongoing basis for 20 hours per week during term time. 

Key Responsibilities 

About You 

We are looking for someone who has a strong background in Games Design, IT, Computing, Digital Technologies or a related discipline, together with the ability to communicate technical and creative concepts clearly to students. 

You should have: 

Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience would be advantageous, although applications are also welcomed from industry professionals who have the appropriate subject knowledge and are interested in moving into further education. 

Qualifications 

Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification in Games Design, Computing, IT, Digital Technologies or a related subject. 

A recognised teaching qualification is desirable; however, candidates who are willing to work towards a teaching qualification will also be considered, with support available.
