Job Title: Gateman (NSI 6 & 8 Full)
Location: Pembroke 400kV Substation, Pembroke
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 30/10/2026
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week (07:30 - 17:30)
Contract Type: Temporary
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Limited Company payment not compliant)
Client: Major UK Energy Infrastructure Contractor

We are currently looking for an experienced Gateman / Civil Operative with their Competent Person (NSI 6&8 Full) to join a major National Grid 400kV substation project at Pembroke.

This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile transmission infrastructure project, ideal for someone with existing National Grid site experience and the correct authorisations.

The Role:

• Managing access and egress to site
• Controlling personnel and vehicle movements
• Ensuring site access procedures are followed at all times
• Supporting the wider civils team as required
• Maintaining site safety standards and compliance
• Assisting with general operative duties where needed

Essential Requirements:

• NSI 6 & 8 Full (National Grid authorisation)
• Manual Handling
• Previous experience working on live National Grid substation projects
• Strong understanding of site safety procedures
• Reliable and professional approach
