Geoenvironmental Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000
An established environmental and ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative consultancy delivering a wide range of brownfield redevelopment, infrastructure and industrial projects across the Midlands and wider UK.
You will join a supportive and technically strong team, gaining exposure to both geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects while working closely with experienced consultants and project managers.
The Role
- Undertaking and supervising ground investigations
- Soil and groundwater sampling and environmental monitoring
- Preparing Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Interpretative Reports
- Assisting with contaminated land risk assessments
- Supporting remediation strategy and validation reporting
- Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies
- Coordinating laboratory testing and subcontractors
- Supporting project delivery from tender through to completion
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology or related discipline
- Previous geoenvironmental or ground investigation consultancy experience
- Understanding of contaminated land legislation and guidance
- Experience with factual and interpretative reporting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
