Goods In Shift Leader
£15.11 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Goods In Shift Leader to join a busy FMCG manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring incoming goods are unloaded, checked, booked in and stored accurately, while supporting the day-to-day running of the Goods In function and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities - Unload deliveries using a forklift truck and pump truck.
- Accurately check and book in deliveries against relevant paperwork.
- Follow goods intake procedures and ensure all required inbound checks are completed.
- Maintain accurate records using the warehouse management system.
- Put away and move stock accurately using scanners.
- Label pallets and ensure stock is stored correctly.
- Work within a temperature-controlled environment, decanting and moving goods where required.
- Ensure company hygiene, food safety and Health & Safety standards are followed at all times.
- Use warehouse space and MHE effectively and safely.
- Work closely with other departments to maximise efficiency.
- Ensure the team maintains a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Complete thorough handovers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Supply production and packing areas with required raw materials and goods.
- Support the wider warehouse operation during busy periods.
- Work alongside management to identify improvements and streamline processes within the Goods In area.
- Mentor and support Goods In Operatives, ensuring best practice is followed.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for somebody who has:
Previous experience within an FMCG environment.
Previous Goods In or warehouse experience.
Experience leading, mentoring or supporting other team members.
A working knowledge of SAP or a similar stock management/ERP system.
A proactive, positive and hands-on approach.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
A professional and respectful approach when working with colleagues.
A willingness to embrace new processes and ways of working.
The physical capability to lift products weighing up to 25kg.
A Forklift Truck licence and previous FLT experience would be beneficial.
Working HoursMonday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm
