Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Counterbalance FLT licence essential

The Recruitment Group is recruiting for an experienced Goods In Operative with a Counterbalance FLT licence to join our client's busy warehouse team in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative, Goods In Operative or Counterbalance FLT Operative looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role with consistent working hours.

Working alongside the Goods In Supervisor, you'll help ensure incoming deliveries are safely received, checked, booked into the system and stored correctly.

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

About the Goods In Operative Role

As a Goods In Operative, you'll play an important role in managing incoming deliveries and supporting the wider warehouse operation.

Your duties will include safely unloading and moving goods using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, checking deliveries against paperwork, booking goods in and out using computer systems, recording stock information and ensuring goods are stored correctly.

The role combines FLT operation, goods-in duties, stock control and computer-based administration, making it ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming deliveries alongside the Goods In Supervisor
• Safely unload and move goods using a Counterbalance FLT
• Check deliveries against paperwork
• Book goods in and out using computer systems
• Accurately record stock and delivery information
• Store goods safely in the correct locations
• Move and prepare goods around the warehouse
• Maintain accurate paperwork and computer records
• Keep goods-in areas clean, tidy and organised
• Follow all company health and safety procedures
• Report damaged goods, discrepancies and other issues
• Support the wider warehouse team when required

Skills & Experience Required

You'll need:

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence – essential
• Previous warehouse, goods-in or logistics experience
• Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely
• Good basic computer skills
• Ability to accurately record deliveries and stock movements
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes and health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment
