Graduate Civils and Structural Engineer
Great Yarmouth/Sizewell

We are seeking talented engineers who are graduating or have recently graduated to join our collaborative team based in Great Yarmouth and onsite at Sizewell B/C. The successful candidates will support the delivery of construction engineering, safety case updates and project management to several major projects within the nuclear power generation sector. Such projects include site wide modifications at Sizewell B, civil engineering projects to support the construction of Sizewell C and safety case work for EDF Design Authority. Across the Risktec south of England nuclear wider team individuals are involved in work supporting commissioning activities at Hinkley Point C and safety case documentation for Small Module Reactor Generic Design Assessments.
 
Role Description and Responsibilities

This role offers the opportunity to support the development of wider company initiatives, such as industry networking and learning. The role also provides the potential to support other Risktec sectors such as oil and gas, clean energy, transport, defence, and conventional power in the future.
 
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience within nuclear engineering would be beneficial but is not expected.
Additionally, this opportunity has high visibility and profile so we require an enthusiastic, confident individual who we would be proud to represent Risktec in front of our clients.

Duration of Position

Full-time (38h/week) with an initial fixed duration of 1 year with a view to becoming permanent.

Additional Information
Due to the nature of the work, the candidates must have a suitable background that will allow them to achieve UK security clearance to a minimum level of BPSS (please note that this is very difficult to achieve within the timescales for non-UK nationals and you will be subject to a screening process prior to interview to ensure that you meet the security clearance criteria).

Successful Graduate

The successful graduate will be based at Sizewell B, where you will be working for our major nuclear client and will be mentored and managed by Principal Engineers from Risktec Solutions Ltd.

Please ensure that you have made yourself aware the location of Sizewell B Power station and that you have considered your accommodation and travel arrangements to and from work when applying. If you are invited to interview you will be expected to travel to our Great Yarmouth office.
