Graduate /Junior Mechanical Design Engineer- Building Services

Location – South Bucks

£28k to £35k (dept on experience) + Benefits

Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / MEP / Building Services Design /  Junior  Mechanical Design Engineer / Consultancy

This role is to join an established firm of Building Services Consulting Engineers who design all the mechanical and electrical systems in buildings. You will cover a varied range of projects primarily in London, including high end commercial, sport and leisure, education, healthcare and science, and high rise residential.

The main function of this role is to undertake the design of Mechanical Building Services. Reporting into a senior mechanical design engineer you will receive on going support and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

Working alongside experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to develop your skills as an engineer, you will through mentoring and training learn how to fulfil the following responsibilities to become a capable design engineer in your own right..

• Assisting senior engineers with the preparation of outline design schemes
• Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
• Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
• Production drawings under the direction of Engineers
• Assisting with the checking of documents and carry out detailed calculations
• Undertaking duties as indicated by Team Manager to obtain further experience and training in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

• MEng / BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
