Graduate Sales Executive

Newcastle | £30,000 - £32,000 + Annual Profit Share Bonus
Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

Graduate Sales Executive opportunity with structured training and clear progression into field-based Business Development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate looking to build a long-term career in technical B2B sales.

You'll join a successful specialist distributor operating within the HVAC, building controls and automation sector. Starting within the internal sales team, you'll receive comprehensive training on the business, products and customer base before progressing into a predominantly field-based Business Development role.

Typically, you'll spend around six months learning the business before moving into the field, where you'll develop your own customer portfolio and identify new business opportunities across the North East.

The Graduate Sales Executive Role

During your initial training, you'll work alongside an experienced internal team and learn how the business operates.

You'll:

• Learn the company's products, customers and systems

• Support customers with enquiries and quotations

• Build relationships with existing accounts

• Follow sales opportunities through to order

• Work closely with suppliers and technical colleagues

• Develop your commercial and technical sales knowledge

As your experience develops, you'll progress into an external Business Development position where you'll:

• Visit customers across the North East

• Develop new business opportunities

• Manage and grow your own customer portfolio

• Build long-term commercial relationships

About You

We're looking for someone ambitious, confident and motivated to build a career in sales and business development.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree in any discipline

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face and over the phone

• A proactive and commercially minded approach

• Previous customer-facing, retail, hospitality or sales experience would be advantageous

• A genuine interest in developing a career in B2B sales

• A full UK driving licence

You don't need previous technical industry experience. The training is designed to give you the product and market knowledge needed to develop into the role.
