Horizon Teachers are supporting a lovely secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London, in their search for a new Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This fantastic secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London is looking for an engaging and resourceful Teaching Assistant to support students across an array of subjects and year groups.
 
The nature of this Graduate Teaching Assistant job will require you to work with pupils that have SEN, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will need to help manage behaviour and use your initiative to support students’ wherever necessary!

What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:

• A Graduate with a degree from a leading UK University
• Experience supporting children of a secondary age
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable
• Competent in both GCSE Maths & English
• Resilience and an ability to quickly create a rapport with pupils
• Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
• Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
