Job Description:

Ground Maintenance Operative
Start Date: ASAP
Basic Pay Rate: £13.83                                                                                           
Working Days: Monday to Friday                                                                             
Working Hours: 07:00am – 03:00pm with early finish on Friday
 
Role Overview
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the local council.
This will be an ongoing contract for the summer period, ending in October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
• Planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as well as maintaining and watering plants
• Removing litter and debris to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment and tools
• Collaborating with team members to prioritise tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance
• Ability to drive and operate mowers and other machinery
• Physically fit and reliable
• Ability to work early mornings and outdoors in all weather
