What's the job?

You'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality plant production, while supporting and developing a team to achieve strong results across the nursery.

This is a hands‑on role that combines technical growing with people leadership and operational support.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Supporting crop production to ensure plants are grown to the highest quality
• Managing key growing activities, including potting, spacing and crop care
• Overseeing pest and disease programmes and input applications
• Working closely with stock and sales teams to align production with demand
• Supporting training, mentoring and development of the growing team
• Assisting with planning, labour coordination and daily operations
• Driving continuous improvement across quality, efficiency and processes

You'll be part of a wider production team, with the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve systems, and influence how the nursery operates.

What do I need?

• Experience working in a commercial nursery or growing environment
• Strong practical growing knowledge (protected crops)
• Experience supporting or leading teams, or ready to step up
• Good attention to detail and a focus on quality
• A proactive, hands‑on approach
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced commercial environment
• PA1 and PA6 would be ideal, but not essential.

You don't need experience with the exact crops, if you've got solid growing knowledge and the right attitude, they'll support you.
