Job Description:

You’ll work closely with senior leadership at an important stage of growth, developing the strategy behind the organisation’s external presence while remaining close enough to delivery to make things happen. From PR and thought leadership to digital campaigns, stakeholder engagement and lead generation, your work will directly influence reputation and future growth.

Your responsibilities as Head of Marketing & Communications

• Develop and deliver an integrated strategy that strengthens positioning, reputation, stakeholder engagement and commercial performance.
• Build external visibility through proactive PR, media engagement, thought leadership, corporate content and industry activity.
• Identify opportunities created by developments in consumer affairs, regulation, public policy and relevant markets.
• Lead B2B campaigns, digital activity, events and stakeholder initiatives that generate qualified opportunities and support sustainable growth.
• Oversee agencies, suppliers and budgets while using meaningful reporting to demonstrate reach, engagement, conversion and ROI.
• Work closely with commercial, operational and senior colleagues to ensure activity supports wider organisational priorities while protecting independence, impartiality and reputation.

What we’re looking for in a Head of Marketing & Communications

• Significant senior-level experience developing and delivering organisation-wide brand, PR and communications strategies.
• Strong capability across media relations, corporate messaging, positioning, thought leadership and stakeholder engagement.
• Evidence of delivering measurable commercial growth, lead generation or market development through targeted campaigns.
• Strong knowledge of digital channels, CRM, automation, analytics and performance measurement.
• Experience working with Directors and senior leadership teams, managing agencies, suppliers and budgets; exposure to regulated, professional services, membership, consumer affairs, public policy or purpose-led environments would be advantageous.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working available.
