Head of Sales- Bridging

Warrington

Full Time- Office Based

The Role

The Head of Sales is responsible for leading and developing the sales function to deliver sustainable growth in loan completions. The role carries full accountability for sales performance, broker relationships, pipeline management, and sales team leadership, with a core objective of increasing monthly completions from £1.25m to £2.0m. The Head of Sales will act as the senior commercial lead across the business, ensuring sales activity is aligned with underwriting appetite, operational capacity, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Performance & Delivery

• Ownership of monthly and annual completion targets - Development and maintenance of a high-quality sales pipeline - Monitoring and improving conversion ratios - Accountability for forecasting accuracy and sales outcomes

2. Sales Leadership & Team Management

• Leadership of the sales function, including BDEs and BDMs - Setting KPIs, activity targets, and performance expectations - Conducting regular 1-to-1s and pipeline reviews - Building a high-performance sales culture

3. Broker Relationship Management

• Ownership of key broker relationships - Broker segmentation and relationship prioritisation - Development of new introducer relationships - Acting as senior escalation point for broker issues

4. Sales Strategy & Growth Planning

• Development and execution of a sales growth strategy - Identification of growth opportunities by geography and channel - Input into product offering and pricing strategy - Support of sales hiring decisions

5. Pipeline & Credit Alignment

• Chairing regular pipeline meetings with Underwriters and Portfolio Manager - Aligning broker expectations with credit policy - Reducing deal fallout through improved qualification

6. Reporting, MI & Governance

• Production of regular sales reports for Directors - Development of sales MI with the Office Manager / Reports Analyst - Maintaining accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting.

Experience & Skills Required

Essential

• Experience in bridging finance or specialist property lending - Strong broker relationship management background - Proven track record in a target-driven sales environment - Commercial understanding of underwriting and risk.

Desirable

• Experience managing or mentoring sales staff - Experience scaling a sales function - Exposure to board-level reporting
