• £55,000–£65,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
• Performance-related bonus, with the final structure being agreed.

This is an opportunity to join an established electronics manufacturing business at an important stage of its development, where you'll have the autonomy to shape the strategy, develop an existing team and make a genuine difference to commercial performance.

What You'll Be Doing
As Head of Sales, you'll take responsibility for driving commercial performance and developing a more proactive, structured and effective function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing the sales function, setting clear priorities and driving commercial performance.
• Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across existing and potential markets.
• Strengthening long-term customer relationships, identifying opportunities to grow accounts and increase customer value.
• Leading, coaching and developing the existing team, bringing both functions together to support business growth.
• Developing and delivering a commercial strategy aligned with the wider business objectives.
• Improving sales processes, CRM utilisation, pipeline management, forecasting and conversion rates.
• Analysing performance to identify new markets and opportunities for growth.
• Building strong relationships with customers, understanding their technical and commercial requirements and developing appropriate solutions.
• Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Production and Finance to ensure customer requirements can be delivered effectively.
• Providing commercial insight and contributing to wider business decisions as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

The business is also embracing AI and emerging technology, so there will be opportunities to explore how these tools can improve sales processes, customer engagement and wider commercial performance.

What We're Looking For In A Head of Sales
We're looking for an experienced B2B sales professional from an electronics, engineering or technical manufacturing background who combines strong commercial capability with a consultative, relationship-led approach.

You'll ideally bring:

• A proven track record of generating new business and delivering growth within a B2B manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing existing accounts and building long-term customer relationships.
• The ability to understand technical products, manufacturing processes and customer requirements.
• Experience leading, coaching or developing others.
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
• Experience improving processes, CRM usage, pipeline management and forecasting.
• An interest in technology, AI and finding better ways of working.

Experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB/PCBA or contract manufacturing would be particularly relevant, although we'd also welcome applications from those with transferable technical manufacturing experience.
