Health & Safety Advisor

Southampton – Some local travel

£40,000–£45,000

SafeSafe Talent is supporting a well-established and growing business with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Advisor. This is a great opportunity for someone That has some full time Health & Safety experience who is looking to take the next step, develop their career and grow with a business that will invest in and support them.

You'll work closely with an experienced management team who will provide support while giving you the freedom to gradually take greater ownership of Health & Safety.

The role

This is a practical, hands-on position involving:

• Risk assessments and RAMS
• Policies, procedures and SOPs
• Training and toolbox talks
• Incident investigation
• Supporting managers with H&S matters
• Identifying and implementing improvements
• Building positive relationships with employees across the business

We're looking for someone who enjoys being out within an operational environment rather than spending all their time behind a desk. You'll ideally have some experience in a Health & Safety role within an operational environment. A NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is required, although practical experience and the right attitude are equally important. This could particularly suit someone who feels ready for more responsibility but still wants the support of an experienced management team around them.
