Health & Safety Consultant | Northern Ireland | 2 Days Per Week | Contract

We’re recruiting for a hands-on Health & Safety Consultant to support a project in Northern Ireland, starting 26 May. You’ll work with HSC teams on site 2 days per week, playing a key role in maintaining compliance, reviewing documentation and supporting safe delivery.

This is a focused project role offering autonomy and visibility — ideal for a proactive Health & Safety Consultant confident working with site teams and providing clear, practical advice.

The Role

As the on-site Health & Safety Consultant, you’ll support day-to-day safety performance, help embed best practice and ensure works progress safely in line with health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead health & safety support on site 2 days per week
Visit site and engage with HSC teams
Review health & safety paperwork and compliance documentation
Support and review risk assessments
Identify potential safety issues and advise on control measures
Provide clear advice on safe working practices
Track actions, updates and close-outs
Liaise with site teams and stakeholders to maintain standards and performance
Join progress meetings when required

Requirements

Experience in a health and safety role
Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and site safety requirements
Experience carrying out or reviewing risk assessments
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge where needed
Good organisation and action-tracking skills
Comfortable working with different site teams and stakeholders
Availability to be on site in Northern Ireland 2 days per week from 26 May
