Help Deliver One of the UK’s Most Significant Infrastructure Projects
This is a rare opportunity to join High Speed Two Ltd client-side on the £1.67bn Old Oak Common Station development, one of the UK’s largest and most complex rail infrastructure projects.
Old Oak Common will become the UK’s best-connected rail station, integrating HS2, Great Western Main Line, Elizabeth Line, Heathrow Express, and London Underground services. The project includes a 14-platform super-hub and an 850m-long underground station box, representing one of the most technically challenging station builds in Europe.
We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager with practical site delivery experience across major infrastructure, heavy civils, rail, or complex construction environments to support safe delivery across this nationally significant programme.
The Role
Working client-side for HS2, you will act as the on-site Health & Safety assurance lead — effectively becoming HS2’s eyes and ears across the project.
Reporting to a Senior H&S Manager, you’ll work closely with Tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners to ensure robust Health, Safety & Security standards are consistently maintained across a highly complex live construction environment.
The position requires strong practical judgement, site presence, and the confidence to both advise and challenge contractors where required. You’ll need to know when to coach, influence, and collaborate and when to step in to ensure standards are upheld.
