HGV Class 1 Drivers – Bedford (MK43 9AB)

Looking for reliable HGV driving work in Bedford? HG Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support one of the UK’s leading supermarket distribution operations based in Bedford. Weekend working is essential

Pay Rates: Holiday accrued, per hour

• Days (06:00 - 14:00) £17.00 - £23.92
• Mid shift (14:00 - 22:00) £18.25 - £25.17
• Nights (22:00 - 06:00) £20.00 - £26.92 
• Bank Holiday £34.00 - £40.00

***Estimated weekly pay between £1004.00 - £1170.00 based on 55 hrs***

The role

• Supermarket store deliveries across the region.
• Ambient and chilled products.
• Class 1 Trunking and Store deliveries with trailer bay unloading.
• Regular Class 2 deliveries to smaller stores, including cage deliveries and collections.
• Daily vehicle checks, electronic PODs and compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Any 5 days from 7 with regular weekend work.
• Typical start times: 22:00–03:00.

Requirements

You must have:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time rules
• A reliable and professional approach
• Weekend availability is essential
• Willing to complete class 2 work – (paid at Class 1 rate)
