Job Description:

CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued business growth and high demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc night shifts available — offering you flexibility and stability in line with your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out nationwide night trunking deliveries and collections
• Secure all loads correctly and safely
• Complete pre- and post-use vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly
• Maintain communication with the transport office throughout the shift
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned as required
• Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and professionalism

Requirements:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on your licence – no DR, IN, or TT endorsements
• Strong knowledge of driving hours - TACHO rules
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently

What We Offer:

• Overtime rate after 8h £24.75/h or £27.74/h with holiday included
