HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver – Refuse Collection
Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
£18.81 per hour | Ongoing Work | Immediate Start

Got People are seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join our client’s team in the Potters Bar area.

This role involves operating a dustcart on designated refuse collection routes and supporting loaders as required. It presents an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 2 drivers seeking stable, ongoing work within the waste management sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 dustcart on scheduled refuse collection routes
• Follow planned collection points and daily routes accurately
• Collaborate with loaders and assist with collections when necessary
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all road safety and driver hours regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent HGV Class 2 driving experience (Category C)
• Previous experience driving dustcarts or refuse collection vehicles is preferred
• Valid UK Driving Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points; no DR or IN endorsements
• Willingness to support loaders and assist with collections as needed
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to completing routes safely
• Possession of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hi-vis clothing, ballistic trousers, and safety boots (can be provided if required)

Pay and Job Details

• £18.00 per hour – Monday to Friday
• Saturday shifts available with weekend pay uplift
• Start time: 06:00 AM
• Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
• Ongoing work available
• Weekend work may be offered during bank holiday catch-up rounds
