Our client, a renowned commercial vehicle service provider based in Hayes, is actively seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their professional team. Benefits:- Up to £23 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
- Rotating shifts: 6am – 2.30pm and 2.30pm – 11pm
- Overtime paid at time and a half from Monday to Saturday; double time on Sundays and bank holidays

Duties of a HGV Technician:- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles, adhering to manufacturer procedures
- Perform fault diagnosis utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Assist in road tests, where HGV licences are held
- Ensure compliance with warranty procedures and accurately record all work undertaken
- Support parts department to ensure correct fitting of replacement parts
- Complete job cards and service sheets in accordance with Volvo standards
- Report vehicle defects and maintain workshop facility standards
- Support roadside breakdowns as required
- Contribute to the development of new trainees and apprentices
Requirements:- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, ideally with Volvo experience but not essential
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach with excellent attention to safety and customer service
- Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow health and safety guidelines
