HGV Technician
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £62,400 per annum
Shift Pattern: 5 over 7 shift pattern
Position: Full-time, Permanent

The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician
As a Workshop Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping the fleet safe and compliant. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections to DVSA standards.
• Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Preparing vehicles for annual MOT testing.
• Completing comprehensive electronic service records and paperwork accurately.

 
What we’re looking for from the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working on heavy vehicles (Buses, Coaches, or HGVs).
• An IRTEC qualification is highly desirable, though not strictly essential if you have strong relevant experience.
• License: A full UK driving license is required (a PCV or HGV class 1 or 2 license is a distinct advantage).
• A safety-first approach and a commitment to maintaining high workmanship standards.
