Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday | 08:00-18:30
Saturday: Alternate Saturdays | 08:00-12:30
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

HGV Technician

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Carrying out routine HGV servicing, maintenance and safety inspections
·Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
·Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults
·Completing mechanical and electrical repairs
·Preparing vehicles for MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
·Completing workshop documentation accurately
·Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to company standards
·Following Health & Safety procedures at all times

About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic with:
·A minimum of 2 years' proven HGV or commercial vehicle experience
·NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent time-served experience
·Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
·Good diagnostic ability
·A full UK Driving Licence
·The ability to work independently and as part of a team
·A reliable and professional approach to your work
·Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice

Good employment references must be available before an interview can be arranged.

Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence is desirable but not essential.
