Job Description:

HGV TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC / FITTER
 
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £38,480 - £40,352 (DOE) + Overtime
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm (40 hours per week)
 
 
Key Responsibilities
·Carry out routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
·Prepare HGVs for MOT testing.
·Complete brake testing and associated inspections.
·Undertake welding and fabrication work.
·Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs.
·Service and repair rigid and articulated HGVs.
·Work on curtain-sided vehicles and skeletal (skelly) trailers.
 
Requirements
·Ideally qualified to Level 3 in HGV Maintenance and Repair.
·HGV Class 1 driving licence - essential.
·Driver CPC - essential.
·Clean driving licence.
·Previous experience working on rigid and articulated vehicles.
·Experience with curtain-sided vehicles and skeletal trailers.
