Housing Officer

Location: London N22 (Field Based Across Haringey)
Pay Rate: £21.33 per hour PAYE
Contract: Temporary until the end of November (Sickness Cover) with the view to extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
DBS: Standard DBS Required
Driving: Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is essential

The Role

We're recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to deliver a high-quality tenancy management service across a housing portfolio in the London Borough of Haringey.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll manage tenancy sustainment, enforcement, estate management and resident engagement while ensuring communities remain safe, well-managed and compliant with housing legislation. The role requires regular travel across the borough, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. The role requirements are consistent with the attached job profile for delivering housing management services, tenancy support and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a designated patch of residential properties.
• Deliver tenancy management, sustainment and enforcement services.
• Conduct home visits, tenancy audits and estate inspections.
• Investigate tenancy breaches, ASB and other housing issues.
• Build positive relationships with residents and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and housing management systems.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation and internal policies.
• Manage customer enquiries and complaints through to resolution.

About You

• Extensive experience in tenancy management and housing services.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and enforcement.
• Experience managing ASB and complex tenancy cases.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Standard DBS (or willing to obtain one).
