Job Description:

HR Advisor (Schools) – Grade F

Location: Nottingham – Hybrid
Pay: £185.20 per day PAYE / £250 per day Umbrella
Hours: 37 hours per week
3-4 months initially
 

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide responsive HR and employee relations advice to schools across Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice across the full range of ER matters including conduct, capability, sickness, grievance and flexible working.
• Provide guidance via phone, email and Teams.
• Apply employment law, ACAS principles and relevant HR policies.
• Establish facts, ask effective questions and identify potential issues.
• Provide practical, proactive advice to help schools manage people matters effectively.
• Know when to research, escalate or seek guidance from senior HR colleagues.

About You

You will ideally have schools, education, public sector or local authority HR experience, with a good understanding of pay scales, policies and employment practices.

You will have strong ER knowledge, excellent communication skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships with schools. You will be proactive, practical and able to balance employee support with the impact HR decisions can have on children's education.
