Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and respected manufacturing business in South Yorkshire to recruit an experienced HSE Coordinator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with health, safety and environmental administration experience who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Working closely with the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting compliance activities, maintaining management systems, and helping to drive a positive safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain HSE records, databases, registers, and document control systems.
- Support the management and review of risk assessments, safe systems of work, permits, and environmental documentation.
- Ensure HSE documentation remains accurate, current, and readily accessible.
- Assist with the preparation and communication of safety alerts, toolbox talks, and site-wide HSE communications.
- Track and monitor corrective actions arising from audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Assist with monitoring compliance against internal standards and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate workplace inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
- Maintain training records and competence matrices.
- Prepare HSE reports, KPI data, and management review information.
- Assist with the recording, investigation, and monitoring of accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazard observations.
- Maintain incident databases and action tracking systems.
- Coordinate employee, contractor, and visitor HSE inductions.
- Schedule health and safety training and maintain associated records.
- Support safety committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
About You
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Administrator, HSE Coordinator, Compliance Administrator, or similar role.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
- Experience maintaining compliance documentation and databases.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- IOSH Managing Safely or IOSH Working Safely qualification.
