We are seeking a dedicated Information Security Assistant to join North Wales Police's dynamic team! What You'll Do:
As an Information Security Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Information Standards & Compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in supervising the Information Standards & Compliance Section to ensure resilience in staffing.
• Conducting audits to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Force Information Systems.
• Providing guidance and advice on Information Security issues to Divisional Commanders, Heads of Departments, and the public.
• Monitoring and reviewing existing procedures related to information security.
• Investigating security incidents and implementing necessary corrective actions.
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of training on information security issues.

Who We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• An HNC/D or equivalent qualification in a business-related area, or relevant proven experience.
• Understanding of the audit function and working knowledge of Information Technology.
• Ability to identify threats and vulnerabilities to information security.
• Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with staff at all levels.

Additional Information:

• You will need to travel throughout the Force area and occasionally outside of it.
• Welsh language skills at Level 2 (verbal and written) are beneficial.
