Job Description:

Infrastructure Engineer – £400 - £500 Per Day – 3 Months - Lincoln (Hybrid) - Consultancy

Overview:
We are currently searching for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established organisation based in Lincoln. The role will support and maintain a varied infrastructure environment covering cloud, server, storage and networking technologies while contributing to wider infrastructure projects and service improvements.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain core infrastructure across Azure Cloud, Windows Server, networking, storage and virtualised environments.
• Provide 2nd line infrastructure support, investigating incidents and escalated technical issues.
• Support major incidents, problem management and Root Cause Analysis within an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Support infrastructure changes, upgrades, installations and wider technology projects.
• Work closely with internal technology teams, third-party suppliers and vendors.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing service improvement initiatives.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience working within an IT infrastructure environment.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies and Windows Server.
• Experience supporting networking and server infrastructure.
• Understanding of Azure Cloud, hypervisors, SAN and data storage technologies.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, backup, configuration and systems administration.
• Experience working within ITIL processes, including incident, change and problem management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for occasional travel to other business locations.
