Inside Sales Representative | Basingstoke | £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

We have a new opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative to join a well-established manufacturing company, working in Basingstoke. The Inside Sales Representative would support revenue growth through inside sales and help to increase sales volume.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Bonus

Hours: Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 | Friday 09:00 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities of a Chemist

• Deliver inside sales activity in line with commercial objectives, including customer segmentation, prioritising inbound vs. outbound opportunities growing existing accounts, cross-/up-selling, and acquiring new customers through inside channels.
• Handle customer communications by phone, email and web, responding promptly to enquiries, sample requests, quotations and contracts; liaise closely with field sales and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to product launches by communicating value propositions, pricing and supporting materials to customers, in partnership with Product Management and R&D.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management and technical teams to share market/customer insights, support strategic accounts and input into territory and segment plans.
• Monitor and report individual performance against sales KPIs (revenue, margin, lead conversion and pipeline) and customer satisfaction, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Maintain CRM discipline by keeping pipeline data up to date, ensuring customer records are accurate, and using CRM tools to manage opportunities efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience of an Inside Sales Representative:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Chemistry (preferred), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Proven experience in inside sales and/or a commercial role.
• A strong track record of meeting inside-sales targets, managing quotation and order pipelines, and supporting continuous process improvement.
