Internal Sales Coordinator
£35,000 per annum + company bonus | Wetherby | Office based

ST TALENT are recruiting for an Internal Sales Coordinator on behalf of an established business operating within the construction sector.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who enjoys converting enquiries into orders, building customer relationships and taking ownership of sales targets. You'll manage UK sales enquiries from initial contact through to order, ensuring quotes are followed up, opportunities are converted and the daily invoice target is achieved.

Working closely with the wider sales team, you'll also proactively contact existing and lapsed customers to generate additional business, identify opportunities and support the field-based Account Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage incoming UK sales enquiries across phone, email and online channels.
• Qualify customer requirements and prepare accurate, competitively priced quotations.
• Proactively follow up quotes, negotiate and close sales, recording outcomes and reasons for lost business.
• Take ownership of the daily invoice target, monitoring progress and acting on opportunities to close any shortfall.
• Make outbound calls to existing and lapsed customers to generate repeat business and reactivate dormant accounts.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the product range.
• Support the Account Manager with quotations, follow-ups and identifying customers who would benefit from a visit.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure the sales process is followed from enquiry through to order.
• Coordinate with Customer Experience, Operations and Finance to ensure a smooth handover and avoid delays.

About you:

• Proven experience in internal sales or sales support, with a track record of converting enquiries into sales.
• Confident making outbound calls and comfortable taking a proactive approach to generating business.
• Commercially aware, with an understanding of pricing, margins and sales targets.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple quotations and follow-ups without losing track of opportunities.
• A strong communicator, comfortable dealing with a range of customers and contacts.
• Accurate with systems and CRM, with a good eye for detail.
• Self-motivated and accountable, with the drive to take ownership of targets and deliver results.

Experience within construction products, utilities, civils or a similar industry would be advantageous. Knowledge of Zoho CRM or experience supporting a field-based Account Manager would also be beneficial.
