Internal Sales Executive

Cardiff | £30,000 – £33,000 + Annual Profit Share Bonus
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Office-Based

A great opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join a successful specialist distributor of industrial automation and electrical control products in Cardiff.

You’ll manage and develop your own portfolio of customers, building strong long-term relationships, preparing quotations, providing product support and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you will:

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of customer accounts.

• Build strong, long-term relationships through regular customer contact.

• Handle incoming enquiries and prepare quotations.

• Follow up quotations and commercial opportunities.

• Provide product advice and help customers identify suitable solutions.

• Work closely with suppliers, external sales and other internal teams.

• Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts.

• Maintain accurate customer and CRM records.

This is a relationship-led sales position rather than a purely order-processing role, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of your customer base and play an important part in the wider sales team.

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in internal sales, account management, customer service or technical distribution.

You should have:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• A proactive and commercially minded approach.

• Confidence dealing with customers by phone and email.

• Good organisation and attention to detail.

• The ability to manage customer enquiries and develop existing accounts.

• An interest in learning a technical product range.

• A genuine desire to become part of a close-knit team.

Experience within electrical wholesale, industrial automation, engineering distribution or another technical sales environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
