Internal Sales Executive

Are you a natural relationship builder with a passion for sales and a knack for spotting opportunities?

We're working with an established and growing business in Cambridgeshire, that is looking for a motivated and commercially minded Internal Sales Executive to join its busy sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, generating new business and making a real difference to commercial performance.

The Opportunity

This is far more than simply processing orders or responding to enquiries!

You'll play an active role in driving sales growth, developing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and helping customers find the right products and solutions.

Working closely with an experienced sales team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of customer relationships and contribute directly to the success of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and developing strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Proactively contacting customers to identify new sales opportunities.
• Following up enquiries, quotations and samples to convert interest into sales.
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell products and services.
• Reconnecting with dormant customers and developing new business.
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Managing customer information and sales activity through the CRM system.
• Working towards individual and team sales targets.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure customers receive an excellent service.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with individuals who have a positive attitude, plenty of initiative and a genuine enthusiasm for sales.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience in internal sales, account management or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Confidence speaking with customers over the telephone and via email.
• A proactive approach to developing business rather than simply waiting for enquiries.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• The ability to learn new products quickly and communicate their benefits.
• A collaborative, enthusiastic and customer-focused approach.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with commercial curiosity, resilience and the confidence to pick up the phone and create opportunities.
