Role Summary

To proactively generate and develop sales opportunities by engaging with new and existing customers, promoting the company's products and value-added services, and supporting the achievement of sales growth and customer retention objectives.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

• Research and qualify new leads, identify key stakeholders, and generates interest in the company's products and services.
• Communicates with customers and prospects through outbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, and follow-up activities.
• Understands customer requirements and identifies suitable sales opportunities and solutions.
• Explains and demonstrates product features, benefits, and value-added services to customers and prospects.
• Works closely with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns, direct mail activity, and lead generation initiatives.
• Acts as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring all technical and sales enquiries are managed within agreed company KPIs.
• Routes qualified opportunities to the appropriate Technical Sales Manager for further development and closure.
• Supports the preparation of major quotations, Requests for quotes, and bid submissions.
• Maintains and develops the CRM database, ensuring customer records, pipeline opportunities, and call activity are accurate and up to date.
• Keeps informed of product developments, market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes.
• Identifies opportunities to up sell and cross-sell products and services to existing customers.
• Negotiates and closes sales opportunities while achieving individual sales targets and contributing to overall business objectives.
• Develops and maintains strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term customer retention.
• Collaborates with internal departments to ensure customers receive a high level of service throughout the sales process.

• Balancing customer expectations, sales objectives, and internal priorities to deliver successful outcomes.

Technical Skills and Qualifications required for the role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience within an internal sales, business development, or customer-focused sales environment
• Able to influence at all levels
• Able to manage multiple projects and performs well under pressure
• Builds rapport quickly and develops strong customer relationships
• Has strong organisational and time management skills
• Experience of working with MS Office applications and CRM’s
