Investment Operations Assistant

Location: Chichester (Hybrid)

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000 – £29,000 per annum + Benefits

We are seeking an Investment Operations Assistant to provide vital operational and administrative support across our investment functions. In this role, you will act as a key operational backbone—ensuring seamless execution of investment instructions, supporting portfolio administration, managing data integrity, and delivering exceptional operational support to Investment Managers and client service teams.

Key Responsibilities

Trade & Transaction Processing

• Instruction Execution: Prepare, process, and execute client investment instructions and trade settlements accurately within strict market deadlines.
• Portfolio Administration: Support the day-to-day operational management of client portfolios, ensuring all trades and asset transfers are accurately recorded.
• Cash & Asset Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of investment holdings, cash balances, and unit positions against third-party platforms and custodians.

Data Stewardship & Reporting

• System Accuracy: Maintain and update core investment management databases, CRM records, and platform data to ensure robust data quality.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Identify, investigate, and resolve reporting variances, execution queries, or data disparities in a timely manner.
• Report Generation: Assist in producing accurate quarterly valuation reports, client statements, and regulatory/tax documentation.

Operations & Team Support

• Query Management: Handle operational enquiries from internal teams, custodians, platforms, and third-party providers efficiently and professionally.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize operational workflows and assist in team project initiatives.
• Onboarding Support: Assist during client onboarding, ensuring account setup, transfer instructions, and anti-money laundering (AML) checks are smoothly coordinated.
