Job Description:

Successful engineering business require a Junior Buyer. Applicants need procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally within a manufacturing/engineering business and ideally have previous MRP/ERP exposure.

The Junior Buyer will join a small procurement team reporting to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. The role will focus on operational purchasing tasks - managing the purchase order process, expediting, and monitoring inventory levels, ensuring continuity of supply to the business.

Specific duties of the Junior Buyer include:

• Management of purchase order process
• Relationship building with suppliers and performance monitoring
• Expediting
• Monitoring of inventory levels
• Liaison with technical and sales colleagues

Junior Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain experience, ideally in the capacity of Buyer, Junior Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Administrator, Expeditor, materials planning, logistics etc
• Experience using an MRP/ERP system, or strong MS Excel skills
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.
