Junior Quality Inspector (Precision Engineering / CMM)

£15 - £18 Per Hour + 4 Day Work Week + Training + Free Parking

Are you a Junior Quality Inspector, from a precision engineering background, looking to join a specialist manufacturing company that invest in the latest technology?

The company on offer are a precision engineering subcontractor supplying into the aerospace, oil, gas and subsea industries. Accredited with ISO 9001 and AS9100, the company produce high-quality components at their 12,000 square foot facility.

Your role will centre around inspecting precision-manufactured components and ensuring products meet the required specifications and quality standards.

This will include carrying out mechanical and visual inspections, using manual measuring equipment and CMM technology, whilst preparing and submitting the quality documentation required by customers.

The first few weeks will entail working alongside the Chief Inspector to ensure you are comfortable and confident in the role. Manufacturer training will be provided for specific machinery.

The suitable candidate will come from a precision engineering background, with experience in Quality Inspection and CMM operation.

The Role

• Perform pre- and post-treatment inspections, including first-off inspections
• Use manual measuring equipment and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
• Prepare and issue FAIRs, SCARs, NCRs and other customer quality documentation
• Review material certifications and ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records
• Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 9:45pm

The Person

• Experience working as a Quality Inspector
• Understanding of CMM equipment
