Newham, East London

January 2027 Start

Permanent – Full-Time (Employed directly by the School)

£43,500 – £47,500 per annum

Classroom Talent is working in partnership with a specialist independent primary school in East London, looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Primary Teacher to join their nurturing and supportive team from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children who have experienced challenges within mainstream education.

About the School - Primary Teacher

The school is a specialist independent primary provision in East London, supporting children with complex additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH and associated learning difficulties.

Many pupils have previously experienced difficulties within mainstream education, including school exclusions or extended periods out of education.

The school provides a highly supportive Nurture Provision, combining a therapeutic approach to education with personalised teaching and learning.

With small class sizes and support from specialist Teaching Assistants, teachers can deliver individualised learning experiences tailored to each child's needs.

The school's approach focuses on emotional wellbeing, positive relationships, communication, behaviour support and helping pupils rebuild their confidence and re-engage with education.

About the Role - Primary Teacher

The successful Primary Teacher / KS2 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 2.

You will support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ASC and SEMH, adapting your teaching approach to meet individual learning, emotional and behavioural needs.

Working closely with specialist Teaching Assistants and a supportive leadership team, you will create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

This position would suit an experienced SEN Teacher or SEND Teacher, as well as a mainstream Primary Teacher with relevant experience who is looking to transition into specialist education.
