The Supply Register is working in partnership with Northumberland College to recruit Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support across their curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals looking to gain experience within a supportive college environment.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners both in and out of the classroom.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners
• Support students with additional learning needs and varying abilities
• Assist lecturers in delivering engaging lessons
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Support students with academic tasks and personal development
• Encourage learner confidence, independence, and progression

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including graduates and those looking to move into education.

Essential:

• Passion for supporting young people and adults in education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, proactive, and supportive approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff

Desirable:

• Degree or relevant qualification
• Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults
• Interest in teaching, SEN, or support roles
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
