Supply Desk is currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Welwyn Garden City, with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is committed to supporting young children's learning, development, and wellbeing during their early years. The successful candidate will help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children feel secure, confident, and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.

The role will involve supporting children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging play-based activities and age-appropriate learning experiences. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality early years education, follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and ensure every child receives the care and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Promote children's learning, development, independence, and confidence through play-based experiences.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to their individual learning journeys.
• Provide high standards of care, ensuring children's safety, welfare, and wellbeing at all times.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Support children's personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and changing, where required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour, inclusion, and social interaction.
• Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and early years best practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
• The ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
