Maintenance Technician
Location: Middlewich
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Days Only

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of automated equipment and systems critical to site operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across automated equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
- Ensure all installations and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver maintenance and improvement activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and quality procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role.
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within FMCG, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or highly automated environments.
- Exposure to automated material handling systems, conveyors, or logistics automation.
- Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or training colleagues.
