Job Description:

Management Accountant – Grimsby – £36,389

Chase & Holland are delighted to be working with a very well established, successful and forward-thinking North Lincolnshire based, service sector business who are looking to recruit a Proactive Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting into the Senior Management Accountant you will be responsible for the supervision of preparation of the financial and management accounts.

Management Accountant responsibilities:
 

• Responsible for overview and ensuring the timely production of VAT returns
• Ensure timely production of accounts and management reports including analysis updating of forecasts and reporting commentary
• Ensure accurate upkeep of budget and forecasts in finance systems
• Maintenance of internal control and accounting systems
• Ensure prompt processing of all account transactions through tight and effective line management
• Supervise control and monitoring of reconciliations and subsidiary systems and performance against budget
• Responsible for the provision of regular financial reporting to budget holders

• Appraisal and development of line management reports within the Finance Department

Key requirements and preferences:

• The right person will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• The successful candidate will be driven with a key attention to detail, as well as strong organisation skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders, internally and externally at various levels
• Experience in a similar role
• Advanced Excel knowledge
