Job Description:

We are currently looking to recruit a Manual Horizontal Borer (DAY SHIFT) for our client based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35. 

Working Hours:
Monday-Thursday (06:00am - 16:00pm)
Pay Rate: £21 per hour, based on experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating manual horizontal boring machines.
• Machining one-off and small batch precision components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating manual horizontal borers.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings independently.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and tolerances.
• Experience machining large or heavy components.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
