Marketing & Business Development Executive

Chesterfield | Full Time | Office Based | £30,000–£40,000 + Bonus

Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be recruiting for a Marketing & Business Development Executive to join a successful and growing business based in Chesterfield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused marketing professional who enjoys combining creative marketing with proactive business development. The role offers genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a direct contribution to the company’s continued growth.

The Role

The main focus of the position will be outbound prospecting, lead generation and new business development, alongside responsibility for a broad range of marketing activity.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging with prospective customers and supporting the sales team, while also helping to develop and deliver the wider marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering the company’s marketing strategy

• Identifying and researching target customers, sectors and markets

• Leading outbound prospecting and new business generation

• Making proactive outbound calls and following up on sales opportunities

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective customers

• Managing and developing prospect and marketing databases

• Planning and coordinating email and e-shot campaigns

• Managing and updating the company’s e-commerce website

• Creating engaging website, digital and marketing content

• Supporting SEO, social media and wider digital marketing activity

• Reviewing and updating brochures, sales literature and marketing materials

• Managing relationships with external marketing agencies and suppliers

• Maintaining consistent branding across all marketing channels

• Coordinating exhibitions, trade shows and company events

• Producing and maintaining product information, technical literature and imagery

• Supporting the sales team with targeted marketing campaigns and lead generation initiatives

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Marketing & Business Development Executive who can combine strong marketing skills with the confidence and drive to generate new business.

Ideally, you will have experience across some or all of the following:

B2B marketing

Outbound sales and prospecting

Lead generation and customer acquisition

Copywriting and content creation

Email and e-shot marketing

Website and e-commerce management

SEO and digital marketing

Social media

Marketing campaign planning and delivery

Managing external agencies and suppliers

Producing brochures and marketing materials

Events and exhibition coordination

You’ll be confident, creative and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a commercial approach.

Most importantly, you’ll be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking with new prospects and actively creating opportunities. This is a hands-on role, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, getting involved and seeing the results of their work.
