Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 DOE

Project: £40m M&E Package – Major Residential Development
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join an established M&E contractor delivering a major £40m residential development in White City, West London.
The project comprises two residential plots incorporating 345 apartments, alongside shell and core distribution, amenity areas and office spaces.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Mechanical Construction Manager who enjoys being site-based, coordinating subcontractors and driving mechanical installations through to completion.
Working closely with the Project Management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of mechanical works, ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate mechanical installations across the development, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements.
Manage mechanical subcontractors and the wider supply chain, monitoring progress, productivity and workmanship.
Coordinate the installation of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation and associated systems.
Manage site quality assurance processes, inspections, witnessing and installation sign-offs.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project quality standards.
Identify and resolve site issues, working closely with the Project Managers and other construction disciplines.
Attend site coordination and progress meetings, providing regular updates on mechanical works.
Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively address potential delays.
Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical activities.
Support testing, commissioning and handover activities as the project progresses.
About You
We are keen to speak with Mechanical Construction Managers who have a strong background in building services and experience delivering substantial M&E packages.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or similar.
A strong technical understanding of mechanical building services installations.
Experience working on large residential, mixed-use or commercial developments.
Proven ability to manage mechanical subcontractors and drive site progress.
Good knowledge of quality assurance, inspections and witnessing procedures.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coordinate installations.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Relevant site management and health and safety qualifications.
Experience working on high-rise residential developments or large-scale M&E packages would be particularly beneficial.
