Electrical & Mechanical Construction Managers – Data Centre - Various projects UK, Italy, Nordics

Client-side hyperscale data centre programmes in Italy and the UK. Electrical and Mechanical Construction Manager roles in the Owner's team, from mobilisation through energisation and handover. Long-term, with extension potential.

ESSENTIAL

•  Minimum 2 years' data centre experience

•  Construction management experience on large-scale MEP installations

The Project

Our client delivers project and construction management services to hyperscale, AI, neocloud and colocation developers, building mission-critical facilities on time, safely and to the highest technical standard. This is a large-scale, complex data centre (data center) programme where pace and precision are non-negotiable.

The Role

You'll sit in the Owner's project team as the client's eyes and ears on the electrical or mechanical installation, holding the main contractor and M&E subcontractors to account on design intent, programme, quality and safety.

• Electrical: own the client-side scope across HV/LV distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS and busbar
• Mechanical: own the client-side scope across HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CDU, liquid cooling and fire protection
• Drive installation progress on site, tracking contractor output against the programme
• Review and approve submittals, RFIs and method statements against the employer's requirements
• Audit contractor performance against programme, specification and Italian, UK and EU standards
• Close out interface risk early with controls, BMS, CSA and the opposite MEP discipline
• Lead client-side input into commissioning, energisation and handover planning
• Own QA, snagging and closeout sign-off through to practical completion

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years' data centre or mission-critical experience (essential)
• Background as an Electrical or Mechanical Construction Manager, Package Manager or MEP Manager, ideally client-side
• Proven record of managing main contractors and subcontractors on large construction sites
• Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical codes and standards, or equivalent international experience
• Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services degree, HNC/HND or equivalent
• Composure under pressure and clear stakeholder communication
