Mechanical Fitter Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a major renewable energy project at Hardy Solar Farm in Dorchester. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing sector, working on a large-scale solar installation project with a well-established team.

We are looking for reliable, skilled operatives who take pride in their work and can deliver to high standards in a fast-paced site environment.

• Start Time: 07:00 AM
• Rate: CIS (competitive rates available – enquire for details)

Requirements (Essential)

✅Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter

✅JIB Card required

✅18th Edition qualification required

✅Demonstrable experience with earthing and brazing

✅Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

✅Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures

✅Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Duties Will Include

✅Carrying out mechanical installation works on solar farm infrastructure

✅Performing earthing and brazing tasks to required industry standards

✅Working alongside electrical and site teams to complete installation phases

✅Ensuring all work is completed to specification, on time, and safely

✅Maintaining a clean and organised work area in line with site requirements

• Previous experience on industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to site demands
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards at all times
