Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd – Burton–on-Trent

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team in Burton.

The successful applicant will work 40 hours per week, from 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.

Basic salary will be £47,050 per annum.

Working within the Maintenance Department, and with the support and direction of the Maintenance Leadership Team, the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will ensure all equipment is operating to the required standards to ensure safe operation and to maintain production.

The ideal candidate will be a time served Mechanical Fitter with the appropriate Technical qualification.

They will have a strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles, with the ability to read and understand complicated schematic drawings. Candidates must have a good aptitude for mechanical repairs including manual machining, bench fitting, welding and fabrication skills. IPAF 3a and 3b license and accredited counterbalance FLT license is desirable, along with the willingness to undertake training and put this into practice.

There is a requirement for the individual to have good communication skills and a sound problem solving ability. They will also have sound technical knowledge of the processes and machinery. Candidates will be self-motivated, focussed and able to work on their own initiative.
